Fall Arts Night

October 28th

Date details +
    Room: Main Shrine Room
We will be hosting our annual Fall Arts Salon this year on Saturday, October 28th. The event will begin with a pot luck table of hors d'oeuvres followed by performances of various artists within the community.
We would like to welcome anyone interested in performing to do so; please let the coordinator, Jillian Sarkady, know if you are interested in sharing some kind of art work or performance for the event at [email protected] if you have not been contacted. Visual arts are welcome, though if an exhibit needs a lot of work to mount it would need to be done ahead of time.
The evening will begin at 5:00 with the food set up. Please be on time so that we can have everything assembled and people may sit down to socialize and chat by around 5:15. We anticipate performances to begin around 6:45 ish. We hope to finish by 8:30 PM.
At this time our star line up includes:  Jerry Anne Dickel playing bagpipges, Sophie Spaner singing and playing ukelele, Tony Regets singing and playing guitar, Jillian Sarkady reading a few lines of poetry, Laurie Woodworth (a long-ago member) giving a short talk on the Guru Padmasambhava thangka in the shrine rm, a poetry reading of favorite poems by a member and more.
WILL YOU PLEASE indicate if you are planning to attend vis a vis our FB page so we may plan accordingly?  As for the pot luck - we are requesting that folks bring just good folksy food to celebrate the richness of the fall season. Selections per last names:  A-H cheeses and/or crackers; I-O nut mixes and/or desserts; P-Z vegetables and/or dips.
If you have questions please contact Jillian at 203-606-1122. Thank you  --  we hope to see you many of you there.
